A thousand things I want to say,
a million things I want to ask,
but words for once have failed me.

I’d do anything for you;

I’m doing all of this for you.
(Not because you asked me
but because it’s what I want to do.)

You are my angel in disguise,
my modern knight in metal bright.
Yet not so great in your own eyes.

And I don’t see why.

Where I see success,
you say that you have failed.
Where I see amazing, crazy love,
you see pain you think you’ve caused.
Where I see something worth fighting for,
you say yes me too,
…and then no, I’m still not sure.

I’ll stand here and wait for you;
cause you’re the one I love.
I’ll get up and run to you,
if that’s where this love leads.

I’m not giving up
not on you,
not on us.
Not on the things that make us smile.

No matter what you think,
and no matter what they say,
I’m here with you;
here for you;
simply loving you.

If you wanna turn and run away,

close beside you,
right behind you,

or strong before you,
to lead the unknown way.

Just remember the times when it was

When times were good,
and all we knew was love.

Those times will come again,
if you just let them be.

It seems to me
like you’re afraid of letting go.
Scared to take a step,
down a brand-new street,
when you don’t know where it ends.

Have a little faith in you,
and show a little trust in me,
and things will be okay.

I’m not saying I’m not scared.
I’m not saying that I know,
what will happen,
what this means,
or where the street will end.

But this I know - I love you.

So take my hand and run with me.
Crying, laughing, loving, living.
Together we are strong.
