A/N: Hi all!
Hope you enjoy! Just playing with some characters my friend and I made up a long time ago. My apologies if anyone is OOC, we have not role-played them in quite some time.
--
The chores for the day were complete. Everything was in it's place and the house was secured for the dark night ahead.
It was a big house that sat on many acres of land. The owner of the house was indeed lucky to have so much at the tender age of sixteen. The crops were surprisingly doing well, the animals well looked after and the once run down stables were refinished.
However, the woman standing at the window surveying the lands and the small barn out back would never admit that to the boy. She knew that if it were not for her and another young man the farm would have been lost long ago.
Turning quickly from the window she lit a candle that had been sitting upon a shelf. The sudden action startled the young boy who unknowing to the woman had been in the kitchen as well.
"H-Halona," the boy stuttered, "I didn't see you there. I had just come down for a drink of water."
"Perhaps you need to be more cautious Jeremiah," Halona snapped as they heard someone clear their throat in the background.
A pair of dark eyes sharply looked in the direction to where a loan figure stood in the shadows.
"You only startled him," the man spoke, "It could have happened to anyone."
"Only him Hadeon," Halona spoke as she brushed past the other man, "Only him."
The man and boy said nothing as they heard her feet head up the stairs, and a soft click was heard as she shut her door that lead in to her bedroom.
Hadeon ran a hand through his blond hair, "I will talk to her in the morning."
Jeremiah gave a small smile as he bid Hadeon a good night and headed up the stairs. The man did not follow suit and go to his bedchamber. Instead, he lit a small fire and reclined back in a chair so as to watch the flames.
It was this time he took to muse upon his current situation, the people in his life, and his purpose at the farm. He knew he was allowed to stay given that he could work so well. Upon arriving and in seeing the two occupants; a skinny white teen boy and a headstrong Native American woman to say he was shocked would have been an under statement. The way she ran things on the farm made it look like she had owned the place. She was cold towards the boy, and even more frigid towards himself. However, as the weeks had gone on the two of them became closer. However, Halona; as the Native woman was called rarely changed her attitude towards Jeremiah.
Halona, having fled her tribe after murdering the man that had tried to rape her was understandably cold towards men. However, Hadeon would not call Jeremiah one just yet and so on many nights he pondered how when they were alone she was friendly towards him but not towards Jeremiah. The boy that had allowed her refuge in his farmhouse.
Hadeon shifted as his mind still wandered back. He had always thought Halona to be a lovely young woman, not a, "Savage," as so many of the townsfolk called her. They spent many hours talking with one another, and it was during one of these talks that Hadeon had offered to teach her how to fight.
"In a proper way," he had said in the field surrounded by the flowers of spring, "So as one may hurt but not kill."
He thought of her smile and the eagerness in her eyes as he taught her the steps. Duck, block and swing. Duck, block and swing; until it nearly had become a dance of some sort.
Duck, block and swing. Duck block and swing. Duck, block, swing and fall. And there she was, lying on top of him panting hard surrounded by the sun soaked green grass. As he lay on the ground stunned by the fall, he saw in to her dark orbs filled with something he had never seen on her in the months he had known her.
Mirth, happiness, joy and something else he could not put his finger on. He stared up at the way her ebony hair flowed down her back, her tan face with a smile that would put God's angels to shame and her dark brown eyes that he could get lost in and never find his way out of their depts.
He was trying to take it all in, trying to gaze at her for as long as she would allow before her voice brought him out of his thoughts with a simple two worded statement, "I win."
Her lips were on his then, and Hadeon blinked in surprise as the realization of what she was doing hit him harder than the fall he had just taken. After the shock had subsided he kissed her back, struggling to hold back a moan that just her kiss had stirred with in him. It had been she that had pulled away, she that had ended his bliss as he watched her stand up. He had let out his breath then, sitting up as she had turned away from him. He swore he saw a blush creep across her cheeks as the wind ruffled her ebony hair.
"Shall we continue?" he inquired after a moment of silence.
"No," was her quipped reply and Hadeon had fallen quiet once more.
It was that day he knew that this woman was unlike no other he had known in his past. And, the fact she could do many things a man could had nothing to do with this type of musing.
She was like the tide of the ocean that he had read of once. At one point the ocean's salt water would cover the shore, the rocks and sand getting relentlessly slapped by the wave upon wave of water. Only to reseed some time later, to gently pull away from the shoreline and flow back in to the sea. Leaving in it's wake the smooth sand and rock. The shore becoming a pristine picture of nature's beauty once again.
The ebb tide had past, and Hadeon had been left with to many questions and not enough answers until the rough sea was gone to be replaced by nature's favor once again.
"Hadeon?" The man snapped his head up as a voice pulled him from his thoughts.
"Hadeon," Halona said his name again as he watched her near his chair.
"Yes, Halona?" he answered just as softly. He gazed upon her, she wearing her nightdress and being completely oblivious to how fetching she looked with her hair free and the top of her shoulders exposed.
"Come with me," she said as she reached for his hand.
'Is this the ebb tide or not?' he thought as he took her hand. He would walk the beach with her in order to find out. Standing from his chair he quickly put out the fire before rejoining there hands. He wanted to speak, however did not want to ruin anything as he followed her.
'What could this be about? Is this about Jeremiah spilling the cow's milk again?' Hadeon thought as his free hand ran through his hair. The two of them went up the stairs, going in to Halona's bedchamber. Hadeon blinked in surprise as she had shut the door.
"Hadeon," she said as he nodded for her to continue, "You may stay with me this night."
"Stay?" he questioned.
"Yes, I am ready. I do realize you must be as well."
'Ebb tide.' He thought as he studied her. She looked serious, no determined as her dark eyes were fixed on him.
"Halona, are you sure?"
Just a few weeks back the two of them had been kissing very passionately on one of the benches in the barn and Hadeon had reached to cup her breast. She had slapped him then, half closed eyes going wide before he could take it back.
"Are you sure?" he inquired again as he gazed at her. Dear God he longed for her, needed her and given her mood earlier that evening he had not been expecting this.
"Yes," she replied as her lips found his and Hadeon placed his arms around her. Aided by the moonlight coming in through the windows Halona guided him to her bed. He pulled back to gaze in to her eyes. He could see her want and desire as he trailed his kisses to her neck. Taking in a gasp of pleasure she arched her neck in order to give him more access. Hadeon could feel his pants tighten as he gently grinded against her.
It wasn't long before Halona began to undo his shirt, and Hadeon watched as her hands explored his scarred chest.
"You have fought much," her voice whispered as Hadeon nodded unable to speak. Her hands moved over his shoulders and back as he sucked at her collarbone. Halona gave a soft moan as Hadeon started to take off her nightdress.
Hadeon froze when placing her hands upon his shoulders Halona had softly pushed him away. He looked on, unmoving as he watched her try and shift on the bed. Realizing that he was on top of her Hadeon got up and knelt on the floor. He watched still as in one fluid motion she pulled the simple garment over her head and laid back on the bed.
It was then a shy smile worked itself onto her face as her cheeks slightly colored at her bold action.
"Beautiful," he whispered as he gazed at her body. Her serene looking face covered by the color of a blush, her long smooth neck, her small rounded breasts, flat tanned stomach and the triangle of dark curls between her thighs. His eyes went down farther to view her shapely legs before her voice made him glance back up at her face.
"Enough," she said sitting up, "I'll look at you fully now."
He stood on shaking legs, eyes lowered as her hand touched his bare chest. He quickly undid his pants and watched as they dropped to the floor. Stepping out of them she was able to view everything that she saw. From his face, to his strong arms and shoulders, to his waist and his manhood. She reached for him then, sighing as his skin touched her own. Hadeon went with her, laying his head upon her chest and eagerly sucking and squeezing her. The young woman let out a surprised moan as her hands moved down his back to massage his thighs.
Hadeon pulled back as he softly kissed her, needing to bring her pleasure before his own. He had done this before, and knew Halona had not. However, the Native woman was to stubborn and strong to let any bit of nervousness show. He kissed down her body, his eyes seeking her permission as his fingers dipped in to her. Halona let out a cry of bliss as her hands gripped his shoulders.
"I love you," he whispered in her ear as he suckled on her neck.
Halona couldn't speak, to wrapped up in the enjoyment of what he was doing to her. She could feel something building with in her, like something was going to unravel inside her as his hand worked between her legs and his lips now suckled her breast. He ever so gently increased his pace as Halona moaned and breathed his name. After a few more minutes she felt something give with in her being and she screamed in pleasure as her release came.
Hadeon lay beside her watching her flushed face as she breathed. Her body trembled as he held her, his hand sweeping strands of damp hair away from her face.
She kissed him as she could feel his hardness press in to her leg and she shifted so he was on his back.
"Halona," his voice came out raspy as he gazed at her through half lidded eyes.
"Yes?"
"It's going to, that is-to say-"
She kissed his mouth before pulling away, "I know, it may hurt."
After shifting down farther she slid down onto him, wincing as she felt a sharp pain between her legs. Carefully rising up she lowered herself again. Biting her lip she tried again as Hadeon's hand caressed her face. She began to move on him ever so slowly as the pain between her thighs eased up. The friction was starting to feel wonderful and it wasn't long before Hadeon began to move his hips along with her. They moved like that for several moments, gasps and moans emanating from the both of them. Her pace quickened as she felt herself nearing another release. Hadeon took note as he grabbed her hips, thrusting up in to her warmth. She felt and looked incredible as she moved that with a strangled gasp and a final lurch he released in to her. It wasn't long after Halona tightened and waves of rapture washed over her once more. Collapsing on top of his body the two of them tried to catch there breath as the shivers of pleasure went through there bodies.
Halona shifted in order to lie beside him as Hadeon held her close to him. Feeling the call of sleep taunt him he stared in to her dark eyes.
"I love you," he said honestly, "I love everything."
"I love you as well," she whispered as she laid her head down upon the pillow. Hadeon pulled up the blankets as he wrapped her in his arms once more.
--
"No no," came a voice, "You flip them like this."
Hadeon groaned as he opened his eyes. Sunlight poured in from the slightly opened curtains as Hadeon sat up in Halona's bed.
'So it was not a wonderful dream.' He thought to himself as he smiled. Getting out of bed Hadeon quickly dressed and opened the bedchamber door. Walking downstairs he eyed the scene that was in the kitchen.
Jeremiah had burned a batch of pancakes and Halona was hurriedly making more of them.
"Hadeon," she spoke his name with out even looking up, "Go and milk the cow while I again teach Jeremiah how and when to flip pancakes properly."
"I know how I just missed it," Jeremiah said as Halona slammed the spoon down on the counter.
"It was a mistake," Hadeon said as Halona finally glanced at him.
"We can not afford them. Winter will be upon us soon."
The man did not reply as he took his leave and exited the house.
The tide was back again. As he walked to the barn Hadeon allowed a small smile to appear on his face. The ebb tide would come again. And, even though nature had shown it's beauty to him many times he hoped that it would start to show around Jeremiah.
--End of, "Ebb Tide."--
