Vampire Kisses V:

Dangerous Love

Hope of England. She is a very peculiar girl. Her parents are Vampires, however, she is still half human. Hope has one year, 365 days to choose whether she wants to be a human or a Vampire.

Until the day of her seventeenth birthday, Hope can do and choose whatever she wants.

Most children have only their family and friends to worry about. With Hope, it is completely different. You see, she is the daughter of King Magnus and Queen Elizabeth. Not only does she have her parents to worry about, but she also needs to think about the entire Vampire community and who will take over the thrown is her parents die.

But today, Hope would not worry about that. Today, her only worry was decorating her room and spending time with her parents on her sixteenth birthday.

“Hope,” her father said. “Would you like to see your room first, or open your gifts? Fifteen years worth of gifts from your mother and I, and birthday gifts from the community?”

Fifteen years of gifts? Hope thought to herself. Her parents had been giving her gifts for fifteen years while she was at Aunt Mary’s?

“Um,” Hope thought, boggled at the thought of having so many gifts.

“Magnus, dear, don’t overwhelm her,” Elizabeth said, with her nice, warm brown eyes looking at her. “How about you open this years gifts…Well…no…you’d still be overwhelmed. Everyone felt the need to get you a gift. Um…How about you open up your previous gifts? That will probably be the less shocking out of your options. I have to say, when designing your room, I went a bit over board.”

“ ‘A bit’?” Her father said to Elizabeth with loving eyes. “That’s a bit of an understatement.”

“Well, I just wanted everything to be perfect for her,” Elizabeth said, looking at the floor as if embarrassed.

“Well, I guess I could open up my birthday gifts,” Hope said, looking both of her parents in the eye, though still being slightly uncomfortable.

“Well, Lets go. Magnus, are the gifts still in the nursery, or were they moved?” Elizabeth asked her father.

“Um… Actually, now that you mention it, the gifts were moved to her room,” Magnus said, looking like he was in trouble, but still looking at Hope.

“Well, then I’ll go see my room,” Hope said, eager to finally be spending a birthday with her parents.

“Ah, that a girl!” Magnus said. “You’ve got a clear and strong head on your shoulders, just like your dear mother.”

Hope went from looking at her father to looking at her mother in wonder.

“Well, we really should get going to your room! You have so many gifts, it’ll take you a week to get to your bed,” Her mother said, getting excited.

“A week,” Hope asked, her eyes going wide with disbelief.

“Your mother is just exaggerating. Though, I don’t know by how much. Now matter how you cut it, you have a lot of work ahead of you, and that includes thank you cards to everyone that gave you a gift. Personalized thank you cards. You are going to lose the ability to write after you write all those thank you cards from what everyone gave you. But lets not worry about that right now! You just need to see your room right now. Then go to your birthday celebration with us! Your mother can get you dressed and such. That’s not exactly in my area of expertise…” her father said.

They walked and walked to Hope’s room. It was a plane door with another to the left of it a few feet down, with only a few other doors in the hallway.

“Are you ready to see your new room,” Elizabeth said, bubbling from excitement, her soft brown hair glowing.

“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Hope said, a mixture of excitement, worry and cheer in her voice.

Her mother abruptly covered her eyes and she heard someone—her father maybe—open the door.

“Step forward,” her mother said in a soft voice.

After taking no more than four steps, her mother uncovered her eyes and Hope got her first look at her room. Or rather, what she could see of her room.

She knew there was a soft, deep blue rug that was so fluffy, it seemed like a huge teddy bear. Her walls were white, light purple, light blue and light green stripes. She knew that she had a canopy that matched her walls, that was tied around the four posts.

She could also see a make-up desk that also had a mirror on it. On the desk, she could see some photographs in frames, but she couldn’t tell what they were photographs of.

She also had many shelves with books on them, along with them, many bureaus that must have held her clothes (though Hope hadn’t known she had that many clothes). There was also a light green couch with matching striped pillows (or, at least one).

There were a few doors too. One must go to a closet and the other, maybe to a bathroom?

Her entire room, with a few small exceptions, was covered in boxes or bags of bright colored papers and bows and cards.

“Wow,” was all Hope could say. “This is all…for me?” she asked her parents, looking at them in bewilderment.

“This is was birthdays look like for royalty, especially for when you come of age like you did. But, these are just your Christmas and birthday presents that we missed. Of course, our closest friends gave you quite a few too,” her father said.

“Would you like to start opening them?” Elizabeth asked softly.

“Well, I need to start eventually, right?” Hope said, a slight smile on her face, while trying to hide her dismay at all the gifts. It seriously would take her a week just to see her bed.

So, what did you think?? Don't worry, the other chapters get WAY better!! Of course, you'll all want to kill me when you finish this story (though I've been writing VK6 already...God I'm ruining the lives of like everyone...)

So yeah.

OH!! I have a bonus thing for you guys!! I'm thinking of writing VK6 POSSIBLY in Elizabeth's POV!! Her story isn't as exciting (puh-lease! After what I do to Hope, NO ONE'S story can be as exciting as hers), but she still has a lot of things to put in! Plus, you guys are going to hate her guts...So yeah...But I just came up with that idea right before I told you guys, so it's going to be a while before you see any of it (if you even do see it).

So yeah, another note: THIS IS UNEDITED!! ACCORDING TO TILY EVERLY I CANNOT SPELL FOR MY LIFE SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME!! THANX!!

Kindly, review! Hope you guys enjoyed it!! Critizism welcome (or however the heck you spell that)
