Shadows float timidly, fleeing
puddles, raindrops in the drizzle,
while the sun is still hiding
'til gray clouds begin to fizzle.
My steps along the bright maze
are brisk, hurrying me inside--
out of a bleak day's haze.
Idle, I watch your picture beside
my darkened monitor anxiously,
your beauty better suited to spring's
days, compares to a flow'r truthfully.
But, this dismal day, brings
you, my love, back again to me--
making worthwhile my melancholy.
