Dedicated to my best friend Nikki
The sun was just starting to go down when the young man opened the front door and entered the house. It was dark on the first floor and there was no sign of anybody anywhere, so he turned the lights on and headed upstairs.
“Is anyone home?” He called. “I’m sorry I was so late, they were short-staffed at the café and I had to…” His voice trailed off as he reached the top and noticed that the light was on in his room.
“Adrian?”
“I’m in here.”
“Adrian… what have I told you about going into my room when I’m not home?” He dropped his bag on the floor and took off his coat.
His brother sat on the bed, arms and legs crossed and a serious look on his face. “I don’t remember you saying I couldn’t.”
“I did tell you that I’d prefer it if you didn’t.”
“There’s a difference between saying somebody can’t do something and saying you’d prefer them not to.”
“They’re the same thing to me.”
“Is that right? Because if I recall correctly, I told you that I’d prefer it if you did not associate with that thing you call our brother. But you do it anyway, don’t you?”
“That’s different.”
“Is it really?” He got up from the bed and walked towards Demitri. “Because it’s not to me. What do you see in him? What’s so damn great about that guy? Well?” He
“Excuse me?”
“Tell me honestly. What do you think about Nathaniel? Do you… love him?” He spat.
Demitri blushed. “Why are you acting like this all of a sudden? I barely get home and this is the welcome I get?”
“Where were you?”
“I was at work. You know that.”
“How?”
“What?”
“How do I know you were at work? How do I know you weren’t off with that bastard having a good time? Well?”
Demitri glared. “What do you want me to do? Call the café and have Jaidin vouch for me? He doesn’t get off until later, and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind taking time out of his busy schedule to explain my whereabouts to an over-protective twin brother.”
“Don’t get an attitude with me!” Adrian said. “I’m serious here!”
“And so am I! Don’t you think you’re being a little too overdramatic?”
“No… and you still haven’t answered my question. What do you think of Nathaniel?”
“Well, he doesn’t suffocate me, for one.” Demitri answered angrily. “And he’s nice, which is more than I can say for you.”
Adrian narrowed his eyes. “So I’m suffocating you? Is that it? Is that how you think of me?”
“Well considering how you’re acting, should you really be so surprised?”
“Damn it, Demitri!” He punched the wall above his brother’s head, little bits of plaster snowflakes falling down on them like it was winter.
“Adrian!”
“Shut up!” He pushed Demitri up against the wall. “Don’t you get it? Don’t you understand how I feel?”
“Get off me.”
“I love you, Demitri.” He said. “And I refuse to let that man have you.”
“Get off of me, Adrian!” Demitri said, struggling.
“No!” His twin said. “I won’t let him… he can’t have you! I’ll… I’ll…” He gritted his teeth. “I’ll make sure that you become mine before you ever become his!”
“Wha-” Demitri’s voice was cut off with a kiss as Adrian pulled him over and onto the bed.
“Mine…” Adrian said. “You are…” He kissed him again, ignoring the protests and struggles of
the frightened Demitri. “Mine.” The brunette swiftly undid the buttons on his brother’s shirt and started to trail kisses down his chest.
“Stop it!” The younger twin cried. “Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!”
“No!”
Demitri shut his eyes as Adrian started to undo his pants. “Adrian… please stop this.”
But the older boy wouldn’t listen. He nipped at Demitri’s bare neck, which made the smaller boy shiver.
“Stop… what if… somebody comes home?”
“No one will be coming home. They’re all out late tonight.” His hand wandered lower and squeezed a gasp out of the younger twin. He let out a satisfied chuckle.
“You have no clue how long I’ve wanted to do this.” He whispered as he started to undo his own pants.
“Adrian…” He pleaded.
“I’m sorry.” He said. “Close your eyes.”
And then he thrust inside him.
“Ah!” Demitri cried out, the pain causing his eyes to see red. He gasped for air as Adrian started to move inside him, he was dizzy from pain and from confusion and from fear.
Every little shove, every push made him cry out. It was too much to handle… he never thought his brother could ever do something like this.
It hurt more than just his body. It hurt his mind too.
One last thrust and Adrian came, his seed spilling out onto the bed sheets as Demitri was left gasping for air.
He took one look at his younger brother and bit his lip. ‘What… did I do?’
But he knew… it was a sacrifice that he had to make.
Demitri was his… and no one else’s.
