A/N: So pretty much, I had the urge to update this. Thanks to you who have reviewed it. :]
Although I have rewritten the beginning to this story, and its vastly different. But I think I'll leave it as it is right now. Even this part itself is extremely old. Yet, I'm still quite fond of it.
But enjoy! I apologize for grammatical errors.
Chapter One
~*~
Nina’s eyes slowly opened sluggishly. She continuously blinked trying to wake up; she scooted up, leaning closer against Lucian’s firm shoulder. The two of them sat in the back of a horse-driven carriage. She smiled, looking down at her feet dangling from the wooden bench, her legs to short to reach the step below. She wiggled her feet happily, which were now covered with a pair of sturdy leather boots that Lucian had bought her when they had reached a small town after arriving to this place he called, “Lithsatir”.
She could remember the town, so tiny and innocent. Children, much like herself, were playing in the streets. The sun was so bright and warm, no clouds in the sky. She wanted to run with the children in the light, Nina had gotten so tired of all the rain back on Earth. But Lucian picked her up and held her instead of allowing her to run. Although, she was grateful, the stone streets did hurt her feet.
Nina looked up at Lucian, he grinned at her, raising his eyebrows as he did so. She tugged happily at the dress-like tunic she wore. It was a soft yellow color, like the sun she so adored. It hung to her knees, a turtle neck top, and long sleeves that hung below her tiny finger tips. Nina loved her warm outfit also.
She smiled back at him, giggling softly. She leaned away from him, and leaned out of the seating area to check out the environment around her.
In the distance, beyond thousands of beautiful green forests, gray colored mountains loomed above them. Nina saw so many birds, of all different colors and sizes flying from the trees. The sky was so clear, and such a gentle blue. Nina gazed upon it fondly. The skies over her were not longer depressive and gray. The sky was open, serene, and filled with feathery white clouds that she wanted to embrace.
Lucian titled his head towards Nina. “You like the view?”
“I love it…” she said quietly. “Everything is so different.”
He patted her head, and looked at her in adoration. Already, he had fallen in love with the small child. Though he had only been with her for a matter of hours, her innocence was unlike anything he had seen in any child. She turned to him, her green eyes glistening. Looking at her, only reminded him of one dear person to him. His gazed turn sad again, Nina did the same, concerned if she had hurt him in some way. Lucian smiled again, shaking his head.
“Here, look at this.” He said, moving to his right. He grabbed Nina and plopped her in his lap, pointing out from the carriage. Above the mountains, a slim tower reached up to the sky. Nina’s eyes grew wider.
“What’s that?” she asked. The building seemed to glow, though it was so far away. She could see from each side of the tower, two long, and extremely large, ribbons flowed and swayed in the breeze. It had a dream like appearance to her, the tower a still window emitting light with two white transparent curtains dancing in the wind.
“That’s a Teleportation Tower. It’s gonna take us home.”
“Home?”
“Yup. It’s far away, in a place called Redawnton.”
“Home…” Nina whispered, looking at her feet. “What’s it like?”
Lucian patted her on the head. “You’ll just have to wait and find out then.”

Nina woke up from another nap. She leaned from their backseat again, looking around the carriage to see the gates of a city coming closer and closer. She was enthralled, yet disappointed she had slept through the visit to the Teleportation Tower. She shrugged the thought off, there’d be another chance to do so.
“That’s Redawnton.” Lucian stated.
Only a matter of minutes later, she felt their transportation come to a halt. Lucian jumped off the back seat, turned to her with his arms extended towards her. Nina bounced into them happily, wrapping her arms around the man’s sturdy neck.
Lucian gave the horse driver a slight bow with his head. The other, and older, man smiled, tipping his straw hat. “Thank you again Mr. Harwood.”
“No problem Mr. Archer. Anything for the hero of our land.”
Lucian modestly blushed, shaking his head. “Don’t put it that way!”
Mr. Harwood laughed. “Ain’t she just adorable?” he said, looking at Nina, waving to her. Nina waved back excitedly, almost hitting Lucian in the face. “Her eyes, and hair. She looks just like…”
“Yes. I know.” Lucian hastily replied. The older gent gave him an odd look, Lucian frowned. He lowered his head shamefully for his rude interruption.
“Well, see ya around town. Give Katherine my best wishes. Dirk to.”
“Thank you. Tell the Mrs. I wish her well to.”
Nina looked at Lucian curiously. She recognized the frown from before when he looked at her. She hugged his neck tighter, wanting to comfort him. “I’m sorry…” she quietly spoke.
“For what?” Lucian blinked.
“I’m not sure. But…do I make you sad?”
“No! Of course not!” the red head replied quickly. He smiled, lifting her above his head, situating her to where she sat on the top of his back, her legs around his neck. He had hold of her legs, to keep her from falling. Nina placed her hands on his head, ruffling her fingers through his slicked back bright hair. “Time to take you to meet your new family!”
The two happily strode through the small city. Redawnton village was a quaint town a few miles outside of it’s large and sentinel kingdom of Redawnton. It was highly advanced as most of the other large towns of Lithsatir. However, the town was mostly occupied by farmers or servants to the kingdom. The town used to be a barrack of sort; with its vast land it was idle for training Knights to the Kingdom.
Nina took in the sites happily. Her and Lucian walked down a cool gray cobblestone path, which led to many different brick homes or stores. Many people walked around them, waving happily to them both. However, she saw a few giving her odd looks. The expressions on their face made her stomach turn unsteadily.
“Look at her. She looks just like…”
“Those eyes. They’re the same.”
“Yes, I know. She even carries her pendant.”
“Isn’t that suppose to be the child of Kina and Jutsuen?” she heard a elderly lady over the hustle and bustle around her. Nina turned to face her direction, seeming to beg the woman to go on. The woman turned away from Nina’s gaze, and hurried along down the opposite direction from them.
Nina leaned her chin on Lucian’s head. She felt miserable for some reason, why did everyone in her home give her the same sad looks Lucian had? She didn’t understand, they looked into her eyes like she was some kind of oddity.
Lucian bounced around, surprising Nina. He turned in a circle, laughing. Nina caught off guard, and gasped. She smiled, somehow he could tell she was upset, and was only trying to cheer her up. Nina looked up to the clear sky, maybe that horrible feeling she got, was another experience in this new world of hers.
Lucian turned sharply, coming to a lone road that stuck out away from the center of town. At the end of the road, stood a large two story home. There were a few trees looming around the house, and a large garden in the front. In front of the house, a simple couch-like swing sat on the patio. The door to the house opened hastily. Within the door way, stood a young and pleasant looking woman. Her hair was a soft chestnut color, which was cut short to the bottom of her neck. It blew across her sweet, peachy face. Her bright blue eyes stared at the two as she waved to them happily.
“This is home.”

“Hello Nina, it’s very nice to meet you.” The brown haired woman crotched down to Nina’s height, giving her same child a warm smile. “I’m Katherine, Lucian’s wife.”
Nina smiled back, holding her hand out. Katherine received the invitation warmly, firmly embracing her hand over Nina’s tiny fingers. “It’s nice to meetcha!” she said with enthusiasm.
Lucian kissed his wife’s head. Katherine stood back up, pushing a lock of hair back behind one ear. She caressed Lucian’s arm, pushing him closer towards the open door. “You have a few other students here also.”
“Really?” he replied, looking ecstatic. “Nina! Follow me!” He skipped into the house, Nina mimicking him. Katherine shut the door behind her, and leaned over a bar countertop. “Come out boys!” she called, her voice echoing in a quaint kitchen like area.
Walking through the kitchen was a warm dinning place, brightly lit from both open windows and an ornate lamp that hung overhead. Lucian and Nina stood in the opening of the kitchen. After a short while, two young boys shyly walked into the kitchen. They stood close to one another. The short, and obviously younger boy gave the trio a warm smile. The older stood there rather emotionless.
“Tell them your age and name dears.” Katherine warmly asked.
The younger boy’s smile grew even larger. “I’m Wyvern, and I’m five!” as he opened his mouth to talk, Nina noticed he had sharp canine like teeth. She stared at the two in wonder. Wyvern’s hair was a normal blonde color, but his eyes were a deep and lush golden tone. His pupils, serpent like. His hair was cut very short, revealing a pair of pointed ears. They were a little larger than her own, but the top curve of the ear pointed out. The bottom of his ear also had a certain point; to her his ears had the frame of a crescent moon.
“I’m Ryu, Wyvern’s older brother. I’m eight.” The taller boy crossed his arms, smiling softly. He too shared the same features. Although, his hair was a deep chrisom color, and his eyes a paler yellow tone rather than a golden scheme.
Lucian walked towards them. “So I assume, you two are the Dragon-Kin students we’ve been excepting.” Ryu nodded. “The sons of Herensuge.“ he gave Ryu a soft nudge on the shoulder. “I’m excepting great things from you, since you’re supposed to become the future and first King of your people.” He turned towards Wyvern, patting him on the head. “You to, of course.”
Nina ran towards both of the Dragon-Kin boys, extending about hands out towards them. “I’m Nina! Nice to meetcha to!”
Wyvern shook her hand excitedly, and then hugged her tightly. Ryu just stared at the two, a look of amusement on his face.
“Hey, I’m back.” The Archer’s household door opened. Nina looked up, seeing a tall young man shut the door behind him. He turned towards the group, rising his trim eyebrows. He had a handsome pale face. His dark blue eyes were bright and soft, his hair a saggy chocolate brown color. He to, was different. Nina stared at his long slender pointed ears in wonder.
She smiled at him. Everyone in the room around her, they all looked like her, but there features were so different.
