The Fallen Tree

Here lies the fallen tree in the forest,

The one that no one heard,

Because no one was around to witness,

It was just an under average tree,

Small in size compared to the others,

So minute compared to the others,

The others that could see the skies and stars without obstruction,

The ones that could view the universe at their own will,

The ones that could feel the breeze fan through their branches,

It was just a stupid tree,

With no character compared to the others,

So insignificant compared to the others,

It had bark not as textured,

Bark with no stories to tell,

Bark with no engravings of eternal devotion,

It was just a plain tree,

Dull in appearances compared to the others,

So weak looking compared to the others,

It had leaves not as vibrant,

Not as intricately detailed,

Not as prettily delicate,

So here lies the fallen tree of the forest,

That no one heard,

Because no one was around to witness,

It fall.
