I sit here with him, watching you,

I wish that I knew what to do.

And meanwhile you sit there, watching me,

Thinking about what we could be.

I think of you day and night,

From late darkness to early light.

And meanwhile you do exactly the same,

You wish you could see me once again.

In my dreams, I lie awake with you,

He watches on, not knowing what to do.

And meanwhile, you have the same dream,

Telling me things aren't as they seem.

You love me like I love you,

And because of this, I know what to do.

And meanwhile, I know that he watches me,

Thinking of what we used to be.
