LOVELIGHT IN THE COAL MINES
Cold as steel without a meal
Nothing to steal but rotten meat
But still I know that all I feel
Is lonely for my loved one to meet
A hard day with no pause, would you be kind when I return?
Even if I break a bone, I’ll be sure to come back to you
Even if the coal mines tire, it’s not enough to make me burn
But that burn would be nothing if I would be denied of you too
Six days in mines week, one day only with you
You are my world, my beating heart, you’re how I’ll leave my mark
If only I can have those Sundays with you too
Our home is my island in the stream, cause that’s were you are, my ark
So please, please, don’t leave me, don’t let me be alone
If you do, I’ll go mad, and all I will do is moan
