An Uncle, a Friend, a Hero.

There's sometimes I miss your smile

And other times your laugh.

The way your voice made me smile

Even during the hardest of times.

You were one that could always cheer me up

Pick me up when I was blue.

You're an Uncle, a Friend, a Hero

One who will be there for me till the end.

I have to deal with you being gone in Iraq

Because you love your country

And you're out there to serve and protect.

It's just hard for me

To have to deal with you being gone.

When everything seems to already be going so wrong.

I know that even though your over seas

You're still standing with me.

That you still love me and you'll never stop.

You're an Uncle, a Friend, A Hero

And one of the best people I'd ever hope to know.

You'll be smiling and helping me through everything

No matter how far apart.
