Sometimes I find myself thinking

About what you did...

You stood up for yourself

You weren't going to give in.

When the robbers came in

You stood your ground.

You appeared to be listening to them

But you really weren't.

You went to the back

And brought out a gun

You were determined not to give them your money

You weren't some foolish girl.

Only the gun shot that fired wasn't yours

It was theirs

And they had hit you spot on.

It took you from all of your family and friends

And made you an angel up above.

And it's hard for all of us to keep our heads up as we move along.

And we are proud of you.

It was a single act of bravery that you made

With your finally stand.

You probably knew

That you might not get the first shot

But that didn't make you give in.

You still decided to defend your shop

And you were taken from us because of it
