Xavier: A Cinderella Story
Foreword

Once upon a time, in the faraway land of Xaviandria, the heroic and brave King Francis son of Xavier united the principalities of Oxavia, Erikya, Ednia, and Amille under his rule. His first act as King was to name his friend and decorated General Erik Cassavant his principal adviser. Though he possessed a good heart himself, he was unable to judge the hearts of others, and thus Francis Xavier was betrayed by Erik Cassavant, who overthrew his rule and crowned himself King. Though he was greedy, and as a result brought his people nothing but poverty, Erik Cassavant used a campaign of terror and lies to discredit Francis Xavier and solidify his own claim to the throne. The kingdom was renamed Erikya, the national dialect was officially changed to King Erik's own native tongue, and any reMaining members of the Xaviandrian line were executed. On the morning of Erik's coup, however, Francis Xavier, his wife, and his newborn son fled the across the border to neighboring Sillia, where their family would elude capture for generations.

Years melted into decades which melted into lifetimes. Each successive heir to Francis Xavier's lost throne would plot and plan, dreaming of how they could recapture the lost honor of their forebears. For a long time, the political climate in both countries was such that they could do nothing. Nine generations came and went, leaving the royal bloodline intact in the form of Daniella Francis Xavier, wife of Charles Thomas Xavier. Their attempt to cross the Sillian border was tragic, however, as were the years to follow. In the end, only one carrier of the royal bloodline remained, finally in Erikya again after 486 long years of exile. Her name was Adrianna Francis Xavier, and she carried the dreams of her people on her shoulders. This is her story.
