Prologue...
Space, an infinite darkness filled with only subtle light in the grate distance of eternity. Mostly blackness. Curious adventures awaiting in some distant galaxy. Life, other wise only dreamed of. For his kind, this was a journey that would bring many things. For his kind, this was a step in a direction that had been considered for a considerable amount of time.
It was unlike his kind to make movements without thinking things over for decades. And for that long they had been watching the planet known as Earth. For the most part they seemed to be a violent race, however the Council also knew that there was a possibility of goodness. For, his kind too had their violent tendencies, some more so than others it seemed. It was natural to assume that where there was evil there was also good.
However, the reasons for studying this world called Earth were not so simple. He wished it were so, but it was not, and as his home faded away in the distance of that blackness, he swallowed the overwhelming doubts that flooded his mind. His father had sent him to this planet to assess whether living conditions would be suitable, whether life would be easy. So that maybe some of their kind might survive. Hope, that there could be a future for them. It was his duty to quell the questions of whether his kind could live peacefully among these beings that called themselves humans, and report back before any trouble could be made of the situation.
Especially before Rezan could convince the Council to do anything rash.
He leaned back in the pilots seat, looking at the view screen that was projecting the image of the planet Earth. It was different from his planet, but still like all planets, beautiful in its own right. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his short silver hair and rose to his feet. He flipped several switches and a metal screen began to close over the glass window.
He turned, stepping towards an alcove that was built into the back of the ship, between two large metal cabinets. A bed with golden orange fabric and a pile of golden orange pillows. The blue light that filtered down from above made the fabric turn odd shades of purple in places. As his feet crossed the metal grated floor a strange mist began to filter in through the vents around the circular cabin.
His body eased back comfortable in the bed, his dark metallic silver skin glowing blue under the light. The mist that filled the room made him feel so heavy, and his eye lids slowly began to close. As his mind drifted to the darkness of unconsciousness he numbly heard the sound of the computer alerting him to the time and how long it would be until landing.
