Author’s Note: This is going to be just one huge author’s note to encompass this entire story and right now I feel that it’s pretty necessary. I have several disclaimers to make thus far:

I do not own nor claim to own any of Stephen King’s books such as any installment of the Dark Tower series, out of which references are made. Neither do I claim to own The Stand. Stephen King has my utmost respect. I wouldn’t do that to him.

I do not truly believe that pianos can have negative vibes or hurt people or drive them insane with their “voices”.

These characters are my own, original characters, any likeness, names, or situations that may be similar to any situations are completely coincidental. Believe me, though some weird shit has happened, this would be nasty if it all happened to you.

I am not condoning any misbehavior and I’m not trying to glorify schizophrenia. It’s a real problem and it does not always require medication as with Ren’s case. All cases are individual.

Trying to sneak a grand piano into a maximum security prison is much harder than it seems in this story.

The places in this story are based on a small town in Western New York, the names of certain landmarks are used in the story, if anyone has a problem with this I will be happy to change the names. The prison itself is entirely fictional.

Thank you for reading my story thus far, I’ll be posting more of it. Honestly I don’t care if you read it, I just needed to get the accurate version on here.
