Doll

Doll

I stare with empty emotionless eyes

Doing whatever you say

I guess I’m used to being controlled

And never having my own way

Feeling mindless; speechless

I’ve been taken over by you

A bland smile, unseeing eyes

I look and just see through

Occasionally I’m let out

Then caged again like a bird

To sing only what you want me to

And not another word

So tired of being manipulated

So sick of being used

Never gave me any choices

Now I want to choose

Don’t want to be exploited

I’m sick of all your games

You say things will get better

But it only stays the same

It’s too late now, I’ve opened my eyes

I won’t be blind like before

Now that I’ve found an alternative

I won’t be your doll anymore.
