The Talking Above our Heads

They shout in the trees above our heads,

And sing in the morning.

Their wings scrape the shadows of night,

And their beaks open wide with their evening calls.

They whisper to each other their secrets,

And bicker back and forth in the branches.

They talk to us in their screeching voices,

But we don't always listen to what they say.
