This is my first attempt in English writing, so don't mind my mistakes. But, if you notice some, you can always notice me!

The Flower

Andrew was watching TV and on the news, they were talking about a serial killer that just killed 5 people at their houses. They showed the picture of a young lady with dark hair and a strike of red hair falling near her eyes.

"If you have information about this situation, please call at 1-888-555-2048" said the announcer. "On a happier note, the Charity organisation just gave..."

Andrew did shut off the TV. A serial killer. In Toronto, it wasn't the worst place for crime, but not the best neither. Staying downtown doesn't help.

"Carrie..." began thinking the young man.

He picked up the phone and called a number. It began ringing. Once. Twice. Third.

"Hi?" said a women voice.

"Hi dear!" answered Andrew.

"Oh, hi Darling!" did say Carrie. "Still wanna go at the movies tonight?"

"Well, did you heard the news?"

"No. What's about?"

"There's a serial killer in the streets..."

"Oh yeah? Oh! Somebody is at the door, I'm gonna call you back! Love ya!"

And she hung up.

Andrew swore. He didn't have time to explain the situation about the killer. He checked at the time : 6 o'clock. The movie was starting in a half and hour. He better call again Carrie to make sure she understood it's not safe to go.

He called. It ring once, twice, third, fourth and a fifth time. The answering machine started : "Hi! You reached Carrie Bellington! I'm not here at the ..."

Andrew hung up. He did talk with her a couple of seconds ago, she wasn't supposed to be else.
And then, he had a crazy thought. "No, it would be a too sad coincidence"
Per chance, he lived only about 3 minutes of her appartment. So he could run there.
As he opened the door, he heard the ambulance and the police going east. Carrie's appartment's direction.

"It's Toronto. It's normal" think Andrew with a little scary tone for himself.

He began to run east himself and then he saw her. Not only her, but them. Fortunatly, Carrie was walking on the sidewalk, but unfortunatly, the killer was too. He recognised her because of her hairs. She was wearing a funny hat with real flowers on it.

"Carrie!" shout Andrew.

"Andrew!" said Carrie beginning running to reach him. "I was going to see you!"

"Did you went outside when the door rang?"

"Yeah, actually. It was the neighbour. He forgot his keys and I do have a double. So I unlocked his appartment and I decided to go directly to see you."

"Ok. Not to rush you, but we need to enter a building. Now."

"Why that?"

"The subject I mention on the phone..."

"The serial killer?"

"Shhht..."

"Why shhht?"

Andrew tried to show Carrie that the killer was near them without talking, but the killer understood. She did take a gun from his coat and shoot the two lovers before taking a flower from his hat and dropping it on the bodies.

The police was near and shoot her and she dropped too. Andrew, who was near dead, recognised the face at least : it was Carrie...

"WHOOAAA!" shout Andrew, waking up in his bed. He was breathing heavily. It was a dream. A bad dream. A nightmare. That's all.

He went to the bathroom to wash his face and went to the kitchen to make some breakfeast. Before doing the breakfeast, he checked outside to take today's newspaper. The front page had the sentence : "A serial killer leaves a flower as his mark."
