Peace

A hand in friendship, a treaty signed,

Peace abounding through our hearts and minds.

Family reunited, where once was torn

Peace and happiness are once again re-born.

The Dove of Peace and an olive bough,

A herald of peace, if we can learn how

One day in a year, but a message to all,

"The World stands together a unified call!"

A flag and a tree, as Symbols of Peace,

24 hours, when all hostilities cease.

Outreaches and Vigils, the joy and the sorrow,

Hope and Remembrance, for a better tomorrow.
