A wisp of wind,
On a moonlit night.
Thrusting leaves,
As the stars shine bright.

It was so peaceful,
Just a windy day.
I even rode my horse,
Doing things the normal way.

You'd never imagine,
The damage to come.
You'd never imagine,
What the wind could have done.

Soon it was time to go home,
The wind was picking up,
Thank God that tree just missed,
My dad's old pickup truck.

At the other end of the road,
A tree's branches hung low,
The wires wrapped tight,
I was not getting home tonight.
