The Storm
I am a cacophony; nature’s wrath become a spectacle,
The fear of many; awe and inspiration to all.
I am a violent god, with power to turn the heavens black and drown the land beneath me.
My voice, like a percussionist’s tantrum, echoes and booms through once clear skies
And my jagged white fingers flash down to touch the earth with electric caresses.
I pass quickly, my tempestuous nature forbidding me to linger,
And in the wake of my fury the word comes alive once more;
People coming out of their cowering under unnatural barriers to walk in the tears of the sky.
