You made me laugh,

You never let me cry.

Protecting me was you biggest mission in life,

And if you had too, you'd go to the sky.

-

I must say, this shocked me.

I had never though I would be the one you told.

“I love you,” you, serious once again.

How I wish that before you had been that bold.

-

Before my heart was shattered,

Destroyed again and again.

You would have protected me

From the pain I felt over and over again.

-

Sometimes, when I see the blood flow,

I think of how

You never let me go.

I bandage the wound up for now.

Probably too be opened again later.

-

My hoodie hides the scars,

My fake smile the tears.

I always regret

Having wasted all of those years.

-

If only I had believed you.

If only you had seen me .

If you had tried to make me stop

Where would we be?

-

I can tell you.

I would still be in school.

You would have taught me how to mend a broken heart,

You would have thought my art was cool

If I ever had the guts to show it too you.

-

Maybe we had a chance then,

Maybe we still do

Maybe im insane,

Or just a fool.

-

But after all of this time,

I still love you.

I realize now, seeing you walk to my font door,

You’re slowly teaching to heal my heart, that’s what you do

With no words , just your simple love.

--

To all of you who had your heart broken, this is for you.

with love,
