To thou whose eyes shine forth such beauty
That be so different from all other’s dull hue
Your sapphire gems that dance so ever brightly
Make life a bliss and turn all my love to you

Be sure this be hard to stand apart
Separated by all Earth’s walls and stone
‘tis a harsh prison and tomb, but heart
We will not forever stand alone

For even as you keep thy sapphires bright
And I turn these dark gems of mine to the sky
I then, no doubt, will find and follow your light
Then shall we be one in love and life

‘tis no need to doubt it bright and true
Your love for me and mine in turn for you
