A Recipe For You

I spread

some honey

on the stair

and caught

the sunlight

sitting there.

While it

was fresh, I

baked a pie

with lemon juice

and clear blue sky.

I flavored it

with happy days

and freshly captured

sunshine rays.

But while I ate

my sunshine pie,

I thought

of you,

and thought

that you

could likely use

some sunlight too...

but you were far

and far away

and so I’m sending this

your way,

and wishing you

a happy day.
