Chapter 1

“Dru, we would not want to be late.” said Drusilla’s mother.

“But mama! I don’t want to go with the Stein brothers. They’re mean to me.” said Drusilla.

“Oh hush dear. They are used to playing with other boys. They’re mother is sick and as you know I take care of her.”

“I know their mama is sick, but why do I have to go?”

“I cannot leave you home alone.”

“I’m a big girl now.”

“I know dearest I know.” said her mother, hugging her tightly. Drusilla hugged her mother back. Pulling away her mother took her hand and walked her outside of the main room to the carriage that was waiting for them. They rode in silence to the Stein Manor.

“Dru! We missed you.” said Klaus.

“C’mon Dru. Klaus and I have been wanting to play again.” said Johann

“Look, Drusilla. They missed you.” said her mother.

“Hi Klaus. Hi Johann.” said Drusilla.

“Dru, do you want to hear me play the paino?” asked Klaus.

“OK? Why not?” said Drusilla.

Both Klaus and Drusilla walked up the stone steps to the main room of the manor. Johann and Drusilla’s mother went in after them. Klaus took Drusilla’s hand and pulled her into the music room, with Johann right behind them. Drusilla’s mother when to the second floor to tend to the Mrs. Stein.

“I hope you like it Dru.” said Klaus, not looking at Drusilla.

Klaus started to play the piano as Drusilla took a large arm chair in the corner and closed her eyes. Her head swaying softly to the music, Johann grinned to himself as he lowered the slimy dead worm down the back of Drusilla’s neck.
