Promise

I see your eyes looking right through me.

I'm only used as a tool for you to use when you see fit.

Cast me aside when I'm broken, beyond all repair.

I will do as I'm told, because you were always there.

We made our promises,

To always be there for one another.

Forever, I know, our paths are intertwined.

And forever I will stand by you.

The time has come to fulfill the promise.

It all happened so fast, the pain is all I feel.

I can't believe that this is real.

I fulfilled my promise to be there for you.

So why aren't you there for me?
