Life's Journey

A journey so strange

With its twists and turns called changed

That it ends

Before it even begins

For from your first breath

To your last at death

You go from laughter and happiness

To feelings of pain and emptyiness

Never understanding why

You go from laughter to ready to cry

For life's got us so twisted and turned

We screwed up everything we learned

When we are suppose to be

Mourning the birth of a new

And the hell its about to go through

Rejoicing the death of an old

And the new life its about to behold

When instead we we rejoice at the birth of the new

And mourn the old for being through

But with every death of an old

Brings a new

Starting life's strange journey

Of twists and turns to go through

From its first breath

To its last at death
