i sit in the dark (because)
everything feels more real
i guess the blackness is something
i can rely on
but so is day

i cringe from the light
its blinding whiteness will always scare me
but i know it will come
and i will hide from it
because it is the time
between the solace of night

i want reality, though,
(i want) to say that
black is night and
white is day
and the truth of the matter is
the world is technicolour
and your light is what shows me that
it's not that
simple as black&white
