My name is Alley Mormoson.

My favorite color is blue and I usually wear blue sweaters because I think it looks nice on me. My skin is pale, so I usually wear blue because I think it looks nice on me. My hair is black and my eyes are brown. I wear blue because I think it looks nice on me.

I love Bobby Walker.

Whenever I see him I wear my best blue because I think it looks nice on me and wave. Bobby waves back because he must think I look good in blue, the way I do. We wave and he goes inside. Then my mom comes over to tell me that I’m blushing and to compliment me on how nice I look in blue. I tell her thank you. That I do look good in blue.

At night my friend comes in and tells me how nice I look in blue. I call him Louis because he’s how I picture Robert Louis Stevenson to look. The first night Louis visited me he read from The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I liked the book and remembered that Louis was wearing a blue jacket that he looked nice in.

“Hello,” Louis says at night.

“Hello,” I tell him.

“You look nice today.”

“I look nice in blue.”

Our eyes will meet and Louis will smile and his plastic vampire teeth that he wears will glimmer in the moonlight from the window.

“You do look nice in blue,” he always says.

The next morning Louis has to go to school I think so I sit by my window and watch Bobby again because maybe he’ll see me and notice that I’m wearing blue today and that I look nice in it.
