Button up your shirt.

Encase yourself in your fabric cocoon

Hide the broken tears behind your eyes

Take your leave one step at a time

Though it seems you always leave too late or too soon.

-

Hold your head up.

You’re dizzy from your spiraling world

You are human and you are real

This sorrow is something you’ll feel

When reality itself begins to unfurl

-

Restless and raving

Caught in blind craving

For whomever your heart may choose.

-

Scarring and broken

Lost in what’s unspoken

What you don’t have is even harder to loose.

-

You will soon wake from this dream

Or maybe enter what one at this cost:

Trying to keep from loosing

Is the easiest way to get lost.

-

I button up my shirt

I encase myself in my fabric cocoon

Hide the coming tears behind my eyes

Take my leave on step at a time

Though it seems I always leave too late or too soon.

-

I love you.
