A dream of a Flower

...His Dream...

Looking up to the sky, I saw my self on the droplets of rain. Reflected on it was my sorrow. My pain. The bliss I felt as it poured over me, the pain I felt as it stroke me. These contrasting feelings even I cannot comprehend. Perhaps I knew all along but refuse to understand.

Bliss is what I feel after months of waiting. Waiting for the rain to relieve the drought in my heart. Now that it has come, the sorrow strikes... For I know that the snow of winter will now melt and give way to spring. Then the cool embrace of winter shall disappear with the warmth of the sun. Along with it, I shall wither and end too.

But there comes the bliss once again. It's a feeling that had always been obscure. My heart know that the moment the first breeze of spring blew, as I wither and fall to my death, if I could just look up and see...

I will see my beloved paint the sky. I will see her bloom in crimson color. But this is something I cannot be sure of. I may already be fast asleep and dreaming to know if it was indeed her hue.

It is the irony of life I am sure. I do not even know why I wait for that someone whom I never knew. Why do I wait for someone I have never seen? Why do I love someone whose warmth I shall never feel? I know the reason maybe... This is what my heart whispers. You need no reason to love someone. Perhaps this is something I can be certain of.

And so each time I live, I always look forward to this moment. The moment when I live no more but catch a glimpse of my love. My love whom I hate. She who deprives me of my life. My love whom I love... She who gives me a reason to look forward to every tomorrow.

It was what they always say. If there is sorrow, there is bliss. If there is pain, there is relief. If there is love, there is hate. If there is life...there is death.

This is the fate I shall always live with. A fate that shows no end. This which tangles us in complex emotions. This which gives me agonizing pain and love.

But I am still looking forward to that day... that someday when we can both bloom and wait for tomorrow together. That day when I can finally see how she can truly be, the crimson hue which paints the sky as I see her in my dreams.

A/N:

I used this as the prologue for my original story entitled "Sang Sa Hwa"

The "person" talking here was the man who was portrayed in the tale as the leaves of the lycoris but in my story the one talking is the girl because well she's just a mere human and since flower symbolizes beauty, I thought the role befitted the God who fell in love with her since Gods were supposed to have ethereal beauty. It's inspired by korean folklore. I might post it someday.

I hope you like it. Kindly read and review "+\(-.-\) (Hehe lame attempt: he's holding a flower lol)
