Alone

Darkness clenches me,

As you turn off the TV.

The anger that I felt,

Drains from me now.

When you open your mouth,

Screams echo through the air.

My nerves stand on end,

But I know that you don’t care.

When you get close,

I know you don’t see me.

The blank stare I give you,

Should be enough for you to see me.

Distress enters me,

As you scream,

“I hate you!”

The force of your hand,

Is enough to know you’re drunk.

As I hit the floor,

I realize why.

You’re gone now,

But I still feel the pain.

I could leave now,

I could finally get away.

Or I could stay here,

In this place you call a home.

I could get up now,

But I’d still be alone.

I see it in your eyes,

Every days a lie,

You’re never satisfied.

I know I’m to blame,

Because tomorrow,

It’ll all be the same.

A/N So, this is the poem that's being published. It's my best one so far and I'm pretty proud of it. Reviews would be nice. You know, just say if you like it or not. I wrote it while I was listening to 'Final Destination' by Within Temptation.
