Author's Notes: This was written when I was in a really awful emo mood. I'm not usually this fatalistic... I like how it came out though.
I'd really like some feedback on this. If you wouldn't mind, please elaborate on what you think about this poem; I would be greatly appreciative.
And They Know Your Pain
When the pang of lonliness rakes your heart,
Look up and dance in the emptiness between the stars.
For there are untold millions dancing with you,
And everyone, no matter how loved, they know your pain.
When your heart is at its breaking point,
Stop and watch the tossing waves of the ocean.
For there is a numbness that comes with the brine,
And the gulls, they know your pain.
When the hollowness is too much to bear,
Take a moment and gaze at the clouds.
For their expanse is greater than yours,
And the rain drops, they know your pain.
When life ruins and destroys you,
Chose: remain in this life or fade into the next.
For there are many to join you either way,
And those people, they know your pain.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this. :D
