O give thanks to the God of heaven,
To Him that made great lights,
The sun to rule by day,
Moon and stars to rule by night,

O give thanks to the Lord of lords,
To Him which smote great kings,
And gave their land for an heritage,
To His people marvelous things,

O give thanks to the God of gods,
To Him who doeth wonders great,
Who hath redeemed us from our enemies,
And remembered us in our low estate.
