This poem is a Double Acrostic, meaning that the first letters of each line and the last letters of each line, when lined up, spell out the title. Inspired by a diabolic Dungeon Master of mine a while back.

DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS

Defeated, my enemy lies brokeN

Untouchable, I continue trav’ling onwarD

Naked sword held in my grasp, my path leads only forwarD

Geared for an adventure and my heart is full of valoR

Exit must be nearby now, for I can hear the seA

Open wide the door ahead, it’s safe and I’m proceedinG

Not safe at all! The trap is sprung, there’s no way out, oh nO!

Saving throw to save my life, I need at least sixteeN

Alerting fellow players, beware when your DM chuckleS.
