"Her Voice Is Rain"
Supernovas
Form a mutiny at daybreak,
But they are hushed
As the sage of all suns
Whispers their way.
She pulls dark energy
From wreckage of night,
And the universe slows.
Her footsteps are among
Every constellation.
A gown grazes her ankles,
Snagged by Saturn's rings.
Gentle hands comfort the cosmos,
Then she kisses its forehead with darkness.
Watch her catch a new galaxy
As it slips through its bloody birth,
And she heals the body
Torn
As life rips the sky.
She stills the toiling creations
In an arc of unspeakable grace.
Slowly a world is rocked;
Softly a moon is lulled into orbit.
Each equinox is in her eyes--
Her voice is rain.
God, only God knows
Her name.
