Persona Poem
Never drive by,
nothing I won't try.
Cocktail hour,
every hour
But only after 4 p.m.
Sliding, moving, slipping,
dancers on speed
parting the crowds
Moses in lipstick and stilettos.

Satin red wine,
twisting red sheets,
gauzy dank air.
Brown glass and neon reflections
frying the brain like bug zappers
poisoning my liver.

Never drive by,
something I once tried.
Cocktail hour
every hour
but only for the unblemished.
Sliding, moving, slipping,
astonishingy cold
creams parting the red sores
Moses in the flesh.

Personal Ad Poem
Woman seeking Man.
If it were so simple,
to open up my soul,
and include a picture.

So if you like fun
if you like surprises
decipher my name,
though it's not much of a game,
it shows I'm honest.
It shows that I care.
I've made no mistakes
but life is not fair.

Woman seeking Man.
It's never been simple,
But I've opened up my soul,
and this time I've included a picture.

Self Personal Ad
I’ve always lived by the idea that you make your own luck.
So here goes my shot…
I am a young college student studying English + Philosophy.
Although I’m dedicated to my schoolwork it doesn’t dominate my life.

I give too much of my time to other people and I don’t keep enough for myself.
I’m horrible awkward and shy until I get to know you—
but I’ve been told that it is worth the difficulty to get to know me.
I’m loving and incredibly energetic.
I live most of my life on adrenaline and coffee rather than sleep.
I care way too much…about absolutely everything.
I’ll make fun of you ruthlessly, so you need to trust that I love you.

So! If I sound intriguing or at least a little bit pleasant…
send me an email and tell me a bit about yourself.
I’m a sucker for theatre, greasy old diners, and anything ice cream.
