The Accident:
Humans from Third Earth fled a multi-national war, called the 5th World War, although it was actually the 14th. The group of humans escaping the violence were of peaceful views and ideas, they only wanted to live without the constant war of their mother planet. The group, using a trans-dimesion-hopper, which used technology long secret and lost soon after its creation, ended up accidently miscalculating their "hop" and landed, instead of on their planned planet that was already adapted to their needs, on a planet which was called "Macaxe" (mack-axe) by its natives, the Pa (p-ah). This accidental landing and first meetings of the Humans and Pa is known as the Accident, commonly a holiday expressed similarly to Earth's April Fool's Day.
The Pa were the only inhabitiants of Macaxe, because of their unique way of adaption there was no need for any other lifeforms. The original Pa were highly adaptive beings. They began life in an egg-like form, which could on and adapted to all factors that touched the putty-like "shells" of the eggs. The original Pa were born into an "adult" stage, never needing a infant stage nor a child stage, because of their unique bonding to their "clan" (family-group) which passed on all needed knowledge of how to survive by touching the shells of the eggs. Because the Pa have such knowledge "installed" in them at birth, they constantly quest for more knowledge to add to the new offspring to help overcome problems the clan faced. The original Pa had three genders which formed a single egg in each mating.
The first Pa that the humans came in contact with were the plain-dwelling Mai-Ku clan, which tended to appear in plant-like forms because of their constant contact with much of the plantlife in their territory. At first the Mai-Ku clan was cautious of these strange creatures. This caution is thought to have been formed because of the air-dwelling Yu-Jai clan which preyed on the peaceful plant-like Mai-Ku.
Eventually a single Pa, whose name lacked the same structure that human names had and was later nicknamed Leafie, stepped forward to which out why the strange humans were on their territory. Although hunted, the Pa were not spiteful of their air-dwelling "enemies". So even though caution was usually needed, aggression was not, as both clans knew they only dealt with this predator and prey structure because it was needed to keep the balance and for each clan to survive. Neither human nor Pa could speak each other's language, for the humans spoke Basic and the Pa used a form of telepathic language they called something which was loosely translated to "Language of Truth" later on. Truth, as it's shortened to, is called such because it's hard to lie in it without a very strongly controled mind. Pa never developed the organs needed to make vocal language like humans used.
The humans and Pa's did make communications, regardless of the differing languages, by the one the humans having a strong telepathic talent and the Pa's having their "Sends" (how they communicated in Truth) use pictures and abstract ideas of emotions. Eventually an explaination was made on both parts through body movements and scattered Sent ideas. The Mai-Ku clan offered to give help to the humans and used long-range Sends to call in other Pa clans to help the humans in making shelters and showing them food sources. In return the humans helped the different clans with problems that they couldn't find a way to adapt around, and using the mild technology the humans had escaped with, helped the Pa improve their ways of life.
The Paiquin:
After living with the Pa clans for a time, the humans began to reproduce and the Pa were concerned by the differing culture and physical structures of the humans. The Pa had never known their young to be as helpless at birth as the human infants were and it worried them that their new friends wouldn't be able to survive very well in this fashion. (It should be noted that the original Pa had a religion, or more of a widely accepted belief system, that dealt with the senient "Trees" that controled the ecosystem of their planet. The Trees were unable to produce seeds or any form of continuing their species, so in accordance with their beliefs, the Pa left the second egg of their matings at the base of the Trees. The Trees used the natural adaptivity of the eggs to change the egg into a seed of the Tree, which would later be rolled away by the Pa to a new spot and planted.)
The Pa, used to giving up their young for the better of other species, donated a few eggs to the parents of a few of the human children. The eggs were put in contact with the children and Bonded to them in a truely unique fashion. Changed by the contact with a young human, the bonded Pa adapted to the human's natural memory of their native habitat and took on forms that were mixes of Earth creatures that matched the human child's personality (because of this, the Pa developed to have only two genders, male and female, like humans). The Bonded Pa also usually was able to keep certain adaptive powers after their hatching, such as changing colors of their fur or skin, which previously hadn't been possible for the original, unBonded Pa. The Bonding also changed the human child, mentally joining their minds to their Bonded Pa (A rare latent effect on some Bonded humans enabled them a stronger usage of magic and other such energies). Essentially, the Bonded pair were of one mind and eventually the humans believed that Bonded pairs shared souls as well. Because of these effects and how both of a pair would act as one being, a Bonded pair of human and Pa were called, a Paiquin (pay-qu-in).
Soon unBonded human and Pa (called Singles) were rare to find, and the two species became dependent on one another and their cultures fused. Each group seemed to have a good effect on the other, Pa's constant presence in a Bond reassured the Bonded human and calmed the species' natural aggression and competitiveness. The human's imagination brought the Pa new forms to take and enabled them to use their natural adaptive behavior in more interesting ways to solve problems the Paiquin encountered
For many centuries peace ensued and culture grew. Because of the lack of other species on the planet, the Paiquin were able to effectively control and inhabit most of Macaxe's surface in a useful manner. The ideal of this society was too effective, one could say, in combining human and Pa as one. The Pa religion was combined with the human ones, but it lost much of it's main views to the interesting and convincing ideas of the human religions. Many traditions faded from existance before they were realized important for the support of Macaxe's ecosystem. One of these that was lost was the giving of a second egg from a mating to the Trees, instead adopting human's idea of every egg being an individual child worthy of birth. The Trees, having no other way to produce, held out as long as they could, but eventually began to die. At the time when the Trees began to die in masses, it was long forgotten how the original Trees had reproduced and no one knew what to do to save the Trees. Humans did manage some half-breed Trees whose genes had been combined with Earth trees, but these lasted even shorter amounts of time and died out much quicker then the true Trees.
The last known Tree (It's spectulated there were more Trees that existed deep in the lands Macaxe kept for upkeeping their ecosystem, which were being phased out of existance because of the invention of a less-costly machine to do the same thing) was in the middle of the most popular city of Macaxe, it was part of a museum which prided itself on keeping a sample of all known plants to ever live on Macaxe in their exhibits.
The Day the Trees Died was a universal event in which all of the Trees in existance on Macaxe finally gave into the death they had held off for so long. This massive death of the great Trees was felt by every Pa in existance as a rush of massive Pain and a great, but deep Sorrow. Because of the deep Bonds of the Paiquins, the Bonded humans felt this great event, although in slightly lesser amounts then their Bonded Pa, but it was still far too much to bare for most Paiquin. Many Paiquin were killed by internal bleeding and seizers on that day and in the weeks that followed, and many more suffered major mental trama.
Pa-kin and Pa-beasts:
Soon after the Day the Trees Died, it became apparent that the Trees had somehow been the base of certain parts of, previously assumed, natural Pa abilities. The gentle and peaceful co-existance of the Paiquins was over. Chaos was common in the years after the Day. Humans and Pa soon found themselves unable to disenage from one another. UnBonded humans and Pa died without one another. Humans soon began to be born with Pa-like traits, such as being mute but strongly telepathic, or having the ability to change their skin or hair color. Pa began to be born in forms more suited to the original Earth animals, and many lacked even the telepathic ability Pa used to communicate. These births disturbed the population of Macaxe but it would only get worst from there. Humans began to be born with scales, fur, tails, and other such oddities.
Many humans refused to regard such beings as human and instead refered to them as Pa-kin. Many Pa-kin were further excluded from Paiquin society by their common lack of ability to be Bonded. One Pa-kin, a female named Rai Tycoli, finally managed to get the Pa-kin accepted by the Paiquin society through her work as a singer and musician. Some of the titles of her songs loosely translate to "Just Me", "Alone", and "Hear Me". "Alone" was a huge hit, as any word in similar meaning to the act of being alone had been phased out in the centuries Paiquin had dominated the planet, so this re-introduction of the word was a huge deal. Strangely, most Paiquin didn't ever fully understand her songs, but her use of both vocal and telepathic lyrics gave the songs new meanings in concert. Rai, by the end of her career, managed to convince people that the Pa-kin shouldn't be shunned but accepted as equals. She was one of the most inspirational Pa-kin of her time.
As the Pa-kin continued to grow in population, many Pa died from lack of humans to Bond with, the remaining Pa that were born had a high tendency to lack all communicative skills of the Pa and were unable to be Bonded, instead living more as sub-intellient pets to the Pa-kin and remainging humans. These were called Pa-beasts and many escaped into the uncontroled lands that had been reclaimed by nature in the recent years. The Pa-beasts populated among themselves and grew into different species which formed a ecosystem cycle and were unable to breed with one another. It soon became clear that the Pa-beasts had regressed in intelligence as most studies to make communication to them leveled off at the intelligence level of a human of between three and six years-old. It became common for Pa-kin to keep Pa-beasts as pets and train them to do tricks and help around the house.
The Great Clan Wars:
Eventually even Bonded humans and Pa were gone from the planet of Macaxe, in their place the Pa-kin and Pa-beasts that had formed a chaotic and constantly aggressive culture. The Pa-kin soon collected in clans of similar ability and structure, such as the Chamrei clan of reptilian Pa-kin who could, for the most part, all change the color of their scales. As Different Pa-kin collected and formed separate societies, they also began starting wars with one another. These fierce and violent wars were called the Clan Wars. The wars lasted for centuries, and many of the clans were subject of genocide.
With the complex wars that went on during this time, it isn't surprising that Macaxe had great damage done to it. The damage to the planet eventually destroyed its climate it's surface became hostile to any who tried to live on it. The remaining clans of Pa-kin fled to other planets, some taking a few species of Pa-beasts with them in an attempt to save what was left of the planet. In recent times, the location of the planet, Macaxe, has been lost, probably purposefully, to hide the dreadful end of the once peaceful planet.
The Remaining Pa-kin Clans:
"Travelers"
One of the fled Pa-kin, this clan, now species, was one of the few remaining that was still able to use some of the Pa's abilities. A main part of their species is that they have no set form until they reach adulthood and choose any form they want. As a collective, they fled the farest away from Macaxe to get away from the wars. They now have proclaimed themselves "Protectors of Order in the Universe", and continually try to stop the other clans from killing one another, but rarely succeed for more then a few years.
Makaxians
The Makaxians (mack-axe-y-anz) took their name from the butchered language that remained after the great Clan Wars, and at first claimed to be the only true Pa-kin. They settled on the nearest habitiual planet after they fled Macaxe, naming the new planet "Makax" which meant to them "True Planet".
Ukialians
Ukialians (you-kay-L-y-anz) got their name from the words Uthe and Kyal which meant, loosely, "Only Truth", and claimed the next nearest planet after they fled Macaxe as "Ukial". They continued to war against Makax, with the blotched reasoning that the Makaxians had caused the Pain/Sorrow-echo all Pa-kin continued to feel on every anniversary of the Day the Trees Died, also called "Yukaluthkaylcou" (you-ka-lu-th-kay-L-coo).
Placaalailenx
A plant-like Pa-kin, the Placaalailanx (pla-call-aie-lee-nz) wish for peace between the surviving Pa-kin but do not demand peace like the Travelers. Diverse and strange at times, these Pa-kin don't always look as humanoid as the other Pa-kin tend to. Being more plant-like, these Pa-kin claim to have the longest lifespans of the Pa-kin, and are one of the few clans that remember what originally happened, the Pa-kin's True History. Regardless of wanting peace, they live far away from the rest of the Pa-kin, so that none will come after them for their "secret knowledge". Any mass movement against them would probably wipe them out, as their beliefs are strongly against violence, even in defense. They are rarely seen off their planet, and it's considered good luck to meet one in person.
Remaining Clans
There are other clans that survived but most have isolated themselves to recover from the great Clan Wars. Some still keep in economic contact with the other clans, others don't. Most have forgotten their true histories and have mixed truth with myths that grew in their respected cultures.
Other Planets:
Tienorens (Tienorens are copyright UrufuChikara)
A habitiual planet nearby Makax and Ukial became host to the runaways of the each planet, although the strict cultures of each planet didn't combine in the way that the first Tienorens believed it would and instead it became a dump of cultures that clash constantly, creating a unstable government and bad economy. The planet's large population of Halflings still echo back to the original abilities of the Pa: all Pa-kin have a natural touch of the magic that lets them all mate with nearly any other species, which continues to confuse many geneticists.
Diasonomi
Diasonomi (day-shon-oh-me) is believed to be the original Macaxe, although it has certainly changed in unimaginable ways since the Accident. It is now a strange world that survives barely by one tree that has made use of the planet's watery core and protects half the planet from the solar energy that would destroy all remaining life on it. The great tree's huge leaves form a make-shift o-zone and filter light and radiation, also protecting the planet from solar weather. The life that survives on the surface that is protected by the great tree was put there by a few of the Makaxians and Ukialians who needed a planet to host the remaining Pa-beasts (although not known as that anymore) when their planets, Makax and Ukial, became unsuitable for wildlife. Mrrlings, Yappers, Terries, Meeps, Tycolas, and other creatures live under the great tree unchecked and strangely have formed vague societies and cultures developing from worship of the great tree that gives them the chance to live. Some people believe that this behavior is a slow return to the root species of the Pa, and hope maybe the Pa will return from this strange planet.

A/N: I know this isn't much of a story, but I figured I'd stick it out there. Eventually I'll get around to revamping my stories that come from various sections of this universe's history. I want to tell Rai's story, but first I probably should rewrite "The Boy of the Paiquins", as well as "Jennika", and Kit's story of the rebellion against the Clan Wars... Erg. So much to write but not enough inspiration. D:
