The bright full moon shone down on his naked shoulders as he walked the deserted road. In the shadows the demons hissed and snarled longing for the sweet taste of flesh yet unable to reach it. ~Who is he? This manling who walks among us?~ One hissed. ~He is Moonstruck.~ Replied another, ~He is blessed in Her light, we cannot touch him.~ The man in question smiled oblivious to the demons around him, his mind lost in the Moon’s song. For he was Her beloved Champion and she would save him above all else. ~Take him!~ ~Hurt him!~ ~Eat him!~ The demons cursed in a thousand harsh voices and as one they rushed the stupid manling only to find that they were the stupid ones. As the first demon reached out to strike the Moon screamed. Brilliant silver light exploded in a circle around the Moon Prince and all the demons that did not die were momentarily blinded. When the light finally faded all that was left of the man was the hat he wore and all that remained of the first wave of demons were moon-lillys drifting in the wind…
