The stars watch us bleed
With every word
Every touch
And the sky wet our cheeks
With summer rain
We’ll break each other’s hearts
Try to piece them back together
Again
And again
Until there’s nothing left to give
Nothing left to break
And we’ll scream our lungs out,
But don’t worry
This is love
Don’t worry darling
This is love
I whisper the words
But they’re grabbed by the wind
And thrown out to sea -
I stand at the edge and
Wonder what we lost

AN: This is a work in progress really, because I'm not completely happy with it. I don't know what it is, but some things don't seem to fit that well together in this poem. I'll probably revise sometime. Still, I wanted to post it. Give you something to think about and critique :)
Cheers,
Lis
