Finally here's the next chapter!!! It's the end of it, and I have to say, the ending is kind of corny, but please read it! for me!! But anyways, heres the next chapter of it finally and I hope you guys read it, review it and enjoy it! :)
“Well,” my mother said. Mrs. Thomas had just left, her baby son in her arms. “I’m disappointed with you. I’m disappointed because you broke that nice lady’s window, with a baby child and everything.”
“However,” she continued. “I’m also proud of you. You returned while the rest of your friends ran away. You may have started to run away, but you came back, without your friends. That takes a lot of courage. I’m also proud of you because you showed responsibility. An irresponsible boy would not have told that lady that he broke her window. You were responsible by going to that lady. You should be very proud of yourself.”
What Mom said made sense. Did any of my other friends return back with me? No, they didn’t. I went back without their protection. Did any of my friends think about telling the lady? No, the didn’t. But I had. I had been courageous and responsible. I was proud of myself.
I was up ate bat. The new bat was help in my hands. The sports tape had yet to turn brown with our sweat, nor did it have many marks on it. It was a fresh slate.
“Don’t miss little girl,” the catcher said.
I ignored him and just stared at the ball.
My team was finally winning, and we had cheers all around us.
I only saw the ball moving as Mark wound up, then threw the ball. I swung the bat and I heard a thunderous crash. I saw the ball rising higher and higher. I saw it fall down, going farther and farther down the street.
I threw the bat aside and ran as fast as I could to first base. I looked and saw the ball was close to the ground and ran another base. People were chasing after it, but the ball was bouncing up and down, getting farther and farther from them. I ran to third base. I again glanced down the street and saw that the pitcher was with them, along with everyone else on the team. I ran and made a home run.
I was quickly engulfed in hugs and high fives as my team mates cheered me on. We had finally won a game. All thanks to me!
Before we all headed home in a noisy group, I glanced up the new third floor window, and saw a woman their with blonde hair and a red blouse, holding a child in a new white blanket in her arms. She seemed to be cheering me on and gave me the thumbs up when she saw me looking at her. I gave her the thumbs up to, while my teammates were oblivious and continued cheering me on.
What did you think? Love it? Hate it? PM/review/comment on my website/blog/homepage and let me know! I'd like to know so I can tell what I do well on and what I could work on! And every single word counts for me!
So glad that you guys read it, and I suggest that if you liked this to also check out Heart Aches, also by me! I know tooting your own horn is evil and all, but it's new and has one lonely review...
BUT anyways, I hope you read it, I hope you review it and I hope you enjoyed it!
