Memento Mori

--

Remember, you are but mortal,

Keep in mind that you must die.

Of all the times he's hurt you,

You've chosen now to cry.

He took away your fragile heart,

Made it safe, said he'd always stay.

Then he broke it; made it bleed,

But it wasn't you that drove him away.

Remember to keep your temper cool,

Make sure he doesn't see your eyes.

Remember, you are but mortal,

And somehow each mortal dies.

--

a/n: i died by having my heart ripped out and stomped on by the one who stood by me for so long. death is a better fate then what i feel now – emptiness.
