A/N: This is it! Thank you all so much for everything! I hope you like this, and I hope all of you enjoyed this story!!! Please review!!!
The ceremony was beautiful. I had never paid much attention at weddings- but when I saw the look on Chris’s face when Natalia walked down the aisle, I knew that he loved her more than anything in the world. I couldn’t help but look over at Evan, and I saw his eyes locked on me. I couldn’t help but blush. He gave me a small smile, and I saw his eyes twinkling.
I didn’t know what he was thinking about, but I knew what I was thinking. That, one day, this was going to be us.
Or, so I hoped.
The ceremony passed quickly. And then it was time for the reception. I was sitting beside Evan, his arm wrapped around me tightly. Mandie was leaning against Nick, giggling uncontrollably. Trent and Kaitlin were at another table, with Chris and Natalia. They were holding hands, talking and laughing with their best friends. Natalia, even in her wedding dress, was holding Braden close to her. Natalia’s brother, Eric, was also there with his wife and child.
“So, what have you decided about school?” I asked Evan, finally bringing up the subject we had both been avoiding.
Evan’s hand instantly tightened on my waist. “Jen-”
“Just tell me.” I said softly, bracing myself for the worst.
He looked around quickly, then let his hand slowly fall from my waist. He took my hand instead, standing. “Come on.” He said, pulling me to my feet.
Now I was really worried. Where were we going?
He led me into a hallway, then slowly backed me up so my back was pressed against the wall. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against mine. “Evan.” I said softly, letting my hand come up and play with his hair. He sighed, closing his eyes.
“Hmm?” He asked, slowly pressing his lips against mine.
I laughed, pushing him away. “You didn’t answer my question.”
“Because I don’t know what your answer is going to be.” He said softly, running his hand through my hair.
“Then ask me and find out.” I said, smiling a little.
He took a deep breath, then looked at me nervously. “Uh, your parents decided to stay there, didn’t they?”
I frowned at him, confused. “You know they did. They love it there.”
“And you were planning on staying with my parents?” He asked, yet again unnecessarily.
“You know that too.” I told him, smiling.
He nodded, then smiled. “I know, uh, Jen? Do you…I mean…Chris and Natalia are going to move.” He told me, shifting his eyes. “And, even though Natalia and I don’t really get along, they found this house. Three bedrooms, spacious. They want it. But they cant really afford the rent. Not now, anyway. They want me to move in with them.”
I looked at him, a feeling of hope in my body. “What about school-”
“I’m going to go. But I’m going here. I cant- I just found you.” He told me, smirking, “You aren’t getting away that easy.”
I laughed, tears in my eyes. Then I thought about what he said… “Wait, why did you think I’d say no?”
“I want you to move in with me.” He told me, worried once again. “I know its soon, and your still in high school, but is it really so different then us living with my mother? I mean, they’re always gone anyway- and I need you there, you’re the only one that can keep me and Natalia from killing each other-”
“Yes.” I said, a huge smile on my face. I didn’t know what my parents would say. But, I was eighteen in a month. They couldn’t stop me. “Of course I’ll move in with you!”
And then I pressed my lips against his.
