Hear the rush
of transparent breath
the Earth breathes into you
tonight.

The Star is gone
to a negative azimuth
and here we lay apart,
but still together.

Your mind is walled
from my sight,
and like a leper
you shun me from touching
with my mental grasp.

Swelling until burst
I hold back for you,
and your tide waxes
until the tension charges
the very air we breathe
of each other.

I'm a bystander to time,
rushing minutes brush by my face.
Seconds to Hours.
Looming in limbo I stand
with mouth open, dull,
in your presence.

What do I do,
could you guide me
like a lost hare
to your vegetable trap.

Helpless tonight,
you lie with your lover,
but you think of me.
If everything was in its right place,
why would you choose
to fit circles into squares
and pursue a transient crush.

The Moon shines silver, melting,
washing me down
with lunar pity -
I am just a toy
for your dismay.
