Last month
I tried to make time slow down.
So I could hold on
For just a second more.
But time only moved
Faster.
Two weeks ago
I tried to fly
With this knife
To help me float.
But I
Fell.
Three days ago
I tried to stop my heart.
So the pain would cease.
But the bullet
Missed.
Today
I lie in a bed.
And I think the sun
Shines a little
Brighter.
