“No. There is absolutely no way I’m riding that thing!” She yelled incredulously.

“Oh, really?” Jacob asked mischievously.

“Yes, really!”

“So what if I did this?” He said, picking her up and putting her over his shoulder. Ellen shrieked loudly and poked him between his shoulder blades. Seth, a tall boy with dark red hair, proceeded to have a laughing fit.

“Oh, shut up you,” she snapped at Jesse, “Jake, PUT ME DOWN!” She yelled again, this time with a well-placed kick to the ‘family jewels.’ Jacob let go of her with a loud wince.

“That was low, Elle.” Seth’s boyfriend, Adrian said with a sympathetic look towards Jake.

“It was called for.” She replied rolling her eyes.

“The line’s too long to ride right now anyway, we’ll come back later.” Seth said, having recovered form his laughing fit.

“Yeah, let’s hit a few other roller coasters first.” Jake replied.

“Hello, Ms. Hawkes.”

“Hello, Dr. Heath.”

“Do you remember yesterday?”

“No, but I remember you.” The two sat in silence for a moment, then Ellen spoke.

“I’m not really that crazy, you know. I’m just misaligned. I mean, I know what’s wrong with me. Sometimes.” She amended.

“So you remember what happened?”

“Do you have any ice cream? I haven’t had any for a long time. My favorites chocolate, what’s yours?”

“Butter Pecan.” He replied with a sigh.
