A/N: Okay, new story! I hope all of you like it, let me know what you think! I love reviews!!! Lol.

Have you ever liked someone so much that it hurts to think about them? I have. You know why it hurts? Because you know that you’ll never have them. You know that they’re to good for you. You know it wont ever happen.

That’s why the instant Kyle Jamison walked into the room, I turned the opposite direction, so I didn’t have to look at him.

“Veronica, why are you-” My best friend, Ella started, but then she saw what I had. “Oh.”

Yeah, oh. I had liked Kyle since freshman year- and I’m a senior now. Pathetic, I know.

“Hiding again, Veronica?” A voice asked scornfully. I winced, then turned back around, facing the one person that could read me well enough to know exactly why I was hiding.

My twin sister, Victoria, smirked down at me. I glared at her. “I’m not hiding.”

“Sure you aren’t.” Vicky said, rolling her emerald green eyes, eyes the same exact color as my own.

“Don’t you have somewhere else to be?” Ella said, coming to my defense quickly, her eyes going to Vicky‘s boyfriend, Travis. Vicky rolled her eyes at my best friend, though she looked towards her boyfriend.

“Whatever.” Vicky muttered, flipping her long, blond hair over her shoulder and smirking at me once again. “You could always talk to him, you know.” She saw the blush on my cheeks, then smirked and walked towards Travis, who was sitting beside Kyle.

“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it now.” Ella stated, watching my sister. “I don’t like your sister.”

I smiled at her. Truthfully, I didn’t like my sister much either. I mean, she was my sister, and my twin one at that, but if she wasn’t, I wouldn’t like her. Not in the slightest.

Vicky was one of those queen bee types. You know, the one that ruled the school my her looks and bitchy attitude. Oh, and the boy toy on her arm.

I was the opposite of my sister. Oh, not in the looks department, since we were identical and all of that, but I was shy, quiet. I didn’t really like people, and it showed. Vicky and I might look identical, but people definitely knew how to tell us apart. Vicky was the one in a skirt and short top, while I wore jeans and t-shirts. Vicky wore lots of make-up, I wore glasses. Vicky would smile at you, or glare hautially if she didn’t like you, while I would glare at the floor.

Like I said, people definitely knew how to tell us apart.

“I cant believe Travis is dating her.” Ella said suddenly, her eyes still on my sister. “I mean, she’s just so- well, you know. And Travis- isn’t.”

I couldn’t help but laugh softy at Ella’s wording, though I knew what she meant. We’ve already established my sister was the ruler of the school, but Travis had to be king. He was good-looking, smart, and a total jerk when he wanted to be. Though there were moments when he was sweet. But everyone knew about his little…problem. And they used it against him every chance they got.

Travis was also best friends with Kyle. Yes, that Kyle. Kyle was the playboy of the school, the funny, sarcastic one. The guy who had lived across the street from me for the last five years. The guy who didn’t know I even existed.

I mean, he knew who I was. But he knew me like everyone else knew me. I was “Vicky’s twin.” I mean, sometimes I even heard my sister refer to me like that. Vicky’s twin. Like I didn’t have a name, or an identity, of my own.

I looked over at my sister, and in the process caught Travis’s eye. He raised his eyebrows, letting his dark hair fall into his bright blue eyes. Then he gave me a short nod before looking towards the front of the classroom. I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I’d been holding. The guy might be my sisters boyfriend, but I don’t think we’ve ever spoken to each other. No loss, as far as I’m concerned.

I heard a giggle and let my eyes fall on my sister. She was smiling at Kyle brightly, lightly touching his arm. I blinked in surprise. I knew that look on her face, the way she as batting her long lashes. She was flirting. With Kyle. In front of Travis.

I saw Travis glance at her for a moment, letting his eyes look at her hand on his best friends arm, then look away quickly.

“Is she flirting with Kyle?” Ella asked breathlessly, her eyes wide. “My god, does she have no shame?”

I looked away from my sister, feeling panic in my veins. Sometimes I really hated her. I mean, she knew I liked Kyle, and she’s still flirting with him- and in front of Travis! Her boyfriend!

I heard her giggle once again, but Travis’s soft voice cut through it quickly. “Are you two done?” He asked, softly, but everyone heard him. His voice was perfectly calm, but everyone knew he was annoyed.

Vicky smiled at him, acting like nothing was going on, while Kyle looked a little ashamed. “We were just talking, baby.” She said, leaning over to place her hand on Travis’s shoulder.

Travis flinched and moved away from her touch. “Well, baby,” He said scornfully, turning flashing sapphire blue eyes on her, “maybe you should do something else.”

Remember that little problem I mentioned? Yeah, well, you just saw it. Travis doesn’t like to be touched. At all. I mean, he wasn’t like screwed up or anything, he just didn’t like it. I’d heard Vicky on the phone more than once, complaining about how she couldn’t even touch her boyfriend. They did touch each other every once and awhile, but Travis had to make the first move. Not her.

And it was the same for everyone.

“I don’t want to do anything else, Travis.” My sister hissed, her own eyes flashing. “I like talking to Kyle.”

Kyle was looking a little uncomfortable, running a hand through his short blond hair and gazing at them with his chocolate brown eyes. “Vic, its fine.” He started.

“No it isn’t.” Vicky snapped, not looking away from her boyfriend. “Travis, you have to know that something is wrong.”

Travis looked at her, his eyes hard. “What are you talking about?”

“My god, Travis!” Vicky said, her voice cold. I flinched. This was Vicky at her bitchiest. This never turned out well. “We’ve been dating for eight months and I cant even touch you! I had to get some somehow!”

I scrunched up my nose in disgust. Ew. So didn’t need to hear that…

Kyle groaned, slamming his head down on his desk. I felt like I couldn’t breath. She wouldn’t do that…not when she knew how I liked him… she wouldn’t….

Travis stared at her, no surprise on his face, even after his best friend made it clear what she was saying. Vicky just continued her ranting. “Kyle likes me! And I like him! Did you really think I was studying all those nights?” She laughed shrilly. “I’ve been with him for three months. I just couldn’t bare to break it off with you! I know how much you like me and I couldn’t break your heart!”

“You shouldn’t have worried.” Travis said, no expression on his face. I had to give it to the guy, there was a reason he was known as being heartless. The next thing he said shocked me- and everyone else. “Because I was doing the same thing.”

Vicky sat up straight. I rolled my eyes. It was one thing for Vicky to cheat on her boyfriend, but it was completely different for him to cheat on her. “Who?” She demanded, her voice hard.

I saw Travis’s eyes travel around the class, and I knew it wasn’t true. No one else was as observant as I was, they were all just waiting for his answer. Travis’s eyes met mine for the second time, and I instantly knew what he was going to do.

“Her.” He said calmly, still staring at me. Everyone followed his gaze, including Vicky‘s and Kyle‘s, and there was only one thought in my head.

Oh shit.
