Enchanting eyes
The wind blew small cherry blossoms in the air as two teens stood near a school.
One of the teens fooled with her gray skirt. Her light brown hair fell over her eyes.
"What did you want Anahcne, I need to get back to the school."
The girl looked up at him. "I like you!" she said tilting her head down, her light purple eyes closing.
"A-Anahcne." He whispered blushing then looking away.
"Will you go out with me?!"
"I'm sorry...but there's someone else I like."
The girl looked up at him in shock. "W-Who...is it?"
"Your sister." he replied bluntly.
"Demi..." The girl looked away. "Okay...sorry to of wasted your time!" she said bowing and running passed him. Not even stopping as he called out to her.
Chapter 1
The school wasn't at all loud. The students were in there classes waiting on the teachers to get there. Some were even skipping class to frolic somewhere not inside, a cramped up classroom.
"Are you kidding me?!" A boy with dark gray eyes looked down at his friend baffled, his spiked dark blue hair was all over the place as he looked at her.
"No I'm not Matsu, he likes my sister..." The girl propped her head onto her hands sighing. “Another strike out.”
"...Naomie!" Matsu slammed his hands onto the desk, causing Naomie to jump and look up at him.
"Matsu." her eyes were already watering before. But to Matsu, he thought he made her cry.
"Ah, I'm sorry! Don't cry, please." Matsu said lifting up his hands away from her desk. He then thought for a moment before smiling. "Hey, come on!"
Naomie looked up at Matsu, seeing him smile like that always made her happy. "What?"
"Let's go visit Ami." Matsu said showing a toothy grin.
"B-But...what about class?" Naomie said looking down at her English book. It wasn't like she was failing the class at all but, skipping class wasn't her cup of tea.
"Oh come on, it won't kill you to miss on class!" Matsu said smiling widely. "Come on!"
Naomie rubbed her head and looked up at him. "Fine fine!" she said getting up out of her seat. "Let's go."
“Score one for Matsu!” Matsu screamed out in a cheer as he led the way to the library.
“And only one for Matsu.” Naomie added smiling at him. “I win most of the time.”
“Or, so you think.” Matsu said giving her a smile, as he put his hands into his pockets.
Arriving at the library several minutes later, it was an eerie quiet through out the small hall there.
Naomie looked around a little bit, her pigtails at the same time turning the way she turned. “Is Ami even there?”
Matsu had a bored look on his face. “This is Ami we're talking about, she should be here.” he pointed to the desk ahead. “Come on, lets go ask her.”
Naomi and Matsu approached the small desk in the middle of the library hall. A sign on the wall that read the words 'shhh!' hung above the short haired librarians head.
“Excuse me.” Naomie said to get the ladies attention. Stopping what she was going, the librarian looked over her shoulder at Naomie and Matsu.
Matsu gave a polite wave and whispered “Hey,” to her.
“Is Ami Roim here?” Naomie asked tilting her head slightly.
The librarian pointed to her right, instantly giving Naomie and Matsu a way. “She's back there..” she whispered softly holding a book to her chest.
Naomie smiled at the librarian. “Thank you.”
Matsu pulled Naomie by the back of the shirt. “Owow.” she whispered until Matsu stopped suddenly. “What's wrong?” she asked looking up at him for a second.
Matsu pointed at the door, a blunt look on his face. “Read the sign..” he said holding back a laugh. “Wow..” he whispered laughing to himself.
“Do not enter..enter and die, love Ami.” Naomie had a blank look on her face. “Maybe we should come back later.”
Matsu waved his hand. “No no, let's try!” he said still laughing, as he knocked on the door.
“Who is it?”
“Matsu and Naomie!” Matsu announced as he stood still, waiting on a reply.
“Ah! Come on in!” The voice replied happily.
As Matsu opened the door, he held it so Naomie could get in. “Hey there, Ami.” he said smiling at her.
She was sitting under a spot-light and was holding a book titled 'Biology.' Her dirty blond hair was put back into two very messy pigtails. “Hello!” she said as her thick framed glasses hid her light green eyes. A pile of books and a glass of water sat next to her.
Naomie smiled slightly. “Still studying?” she asked curiously.
Ami nodded lifting up the thick book in her lap.
Matsu chuckled, as did Naomie. “Same old Ami.”
“So, what do I owe this visit?” Ami asked putting her book to the side and looking up at the two curiously.
As they approached the light, Ami noticed Naomie first. “Naomie?”
“Yeah?” Naomie asked looking at her blinking slightly.
“Have you been crying?” she asked and saw Matsu look away and sit down. “Your eyes are red.
“Yeah..” she said softly.
“Did he turn you down?” Ami asked in concern.
“Yes.” Naomie looked annoyed. “He likes 'Someone else.'” Naomie said making air quotes.
“Let me guess... Demi?” Ami asked raising a brow slightly.
“Yes, like every one else in this school!” Naomie said looking over at Ami then at Matsu. “She's evil, I swear..”
An image of her sister crossed through her mind. Demi laughing hysterically saying, “All men belong to me!!”
“Poor Naomie.” Ami said, as Matsu sighed.
“Not this again..” he whispered, then the two girls looked over at him. He put his hand behind his head. “What I mean is, your sister isn't that bad, Naomie.”
“Yes she is..” Naomie said bluntly. “Oh yeah..” Naomie said tilting her head to the side looking up at Matsu. “You used to like Demi, didn't you?”
Matsu blushed slightly. “When we were younger.” he said then Ami got in his face slightly.
“Who do you like now, Matsu?” Ami asked and Naomie laughed slightly.
“Yeah, who does Matsu like?” Naomie asked.
Matsu looked from the ground up to Naomie for a split second. “Someone!” he said bluntly smiling.
“Aww, but who?”
Before they could bother him anymore, the school bell rang.
Matsu stood up and stretched slightly. “Let's get going Naomie, it's time to go home.”
“Okay.” Naomie said standing up, and waving at Ami as they left. “See you, Ami.”
“Bye.” Ami said smiling as they closed the door.
“It's her!” A girl screamed out in joy and glee.
“Where?” A boy asked as murmurs went though out the hallways.
“It's Demi!” A girl cried out smiling as she was passed by Demi.
A height of 5'6, and beautiful long red hair that came to her mid-back. Her dark purple eyes were looking over at her friend as they spoke to each other.
“There's Matsu, Demi.” her friend said pointing ahead.
Demi smiled. “Matsu..” she whispered gleefully.
Suddenly someone came running after him. “Matsu wait up, you never answered my question!” Naomie said, then tripped over her foot.
“Watch it..” Matsu said catching her arm before she face-planted on the ground. “Be careful okay?”
“Naomie..” Demi whispered twitching slightly. Her hate was only because her sister was so close to him. It made her sick. “If only Naomie wasn't in the picture...” she whispered and crossed her arms over her chest, and closed her eyes. “I'll just have to enchant him with my eyes.” she thought to herself, as her eyes went cat like. Small wings no one could see, but Naomie, were on her back. “Oh, Matsu!”
“Thank you.” Naomie said then looked up at him. “Why won't you tell me?”
“Stop asking, Naomie.” he asked with a sigh.
Naomie looked away. “Sorry..” she whispered softly.
“Naomie..” Matsu began, then was cut off as Demi hugged him from behind. “Hey Demi.” he said as if he was used to him.
“I had to ask you something..” she said smiling at him.
“What is it?” Matsu asked looking at Demi a little bored. He was getting a little aggravated at her.
Naomie noticed the wings on her sisters back. “Oh no..” she whispered to herself.
Demi noticed her sister look, and smirked to herself. “I was wondering...would you go to the school prom with me?” she asked sweetly.
“Um..” Matsu had the look of 'What the heck' on his face. “No, thanks I wasn't going.”
“Please..” Demi asked with pleading eyes. “I-I like you, Matsu.”
Matsu looked at her sadly. “Sorry Demi, I only think of you as a friend..”
Demi looked shocked, then glared at him thinking for a second. “Friend?!” Her hair was covering her eyes, then she looked up at him with the cat-slit eyes. “Matsu...go out with me.” she said in a rather hypnotizing way.
“Sh-She wouldn't enchant him..” Naomie said with wide eyes as she watch from the side.
Matsu stared at her.
Demi smirked. “It's working.” she whispered to herself.
“Demi..” Matsu began.
“Yes, Matsu?” she asked smiling at him.
“Sorry... I said no.” Matsu said plainly.
Demi and Naomie had the same look on there faces.
“What just happened?!”
