tucked into a dorm room:

just me, you,

my roommate,

and your best friend

(but they're not together -

then again, neither are we...

technically.)

sipping canned sodas

and munching ramen noodles,

each to his/her own task -

only occasionally i stop

to touch your hand,

and then move on

with the ceaseless work.
