What is Love?
Author:

This is a small rant I went on when I realized how overused and meaningless this word really has become. Please review.

Love.

Love, Love. A word I here all too much.

But What is Love,
Is it an emotion,
Is it a pat on the back after a good deed's been done

Or for a good instance that has happened,
Or is it simply reassurance when someone is down or you need to feel better.

Love was once so truthful, so full of meaning and devotion,
Civilization has turned it into just another word in the dictionary.

Wake up!
Why can love not be so much more than what most think of today,
It is not simply a heart on a letter,
Or a 3 on a message.
Love is a deep feeling,
Only expressible in ways known only to the ones partaking in it.

Love is forsaken, but I beseech you, remember what love was supposed to mean,
bring it back...
Don't let it die, Or soon,
so shall we.
