if you don't introduce yourself
no one can refuse to
shake your hand
and if you don't
kiss goodbye
on the sidewalk,
no one can
honk or throw
snow from the
anonymity of
traffic.
everywhere i look i see
what i can't do, and
everywhere i go i am
reminded how easy it is
to be hurt.
